Pick Wavi when
- You build with Next.js or Vite and Tailwind CSS 4.
- You want one package you update, not a folder of copied files to maintain.
- You take payments or addresses in Bangladesh: bKash, taka, +880, districts, Bangla dates.
- You want blocks and whole templates in the same style as the components.
Pick something else when
- You want to own and edit every component file: shadcn/ui.
- Your product must follow Material Design: Material UI.
- You do not use Tailwind CSS: Mantine or Chakra UI.
- You need a spreadsheet-grade grid with pivots and grouping: MUI X or AG Grid.

Is Wavi a replacement for shadcn/ui?
It solves the same problem differently. shadcn/ui copies component source into your project, so you own and update every file yourself. Wavi is an npm package you update with one command, themed with Tailwind CSS 4 tokens; its blocks and templates are copy-paste, like shadcn/ui's blocks.
Can I use Wavi without Tailwind CSS?
No. Wavi's styles are Tailwind CSS 4 classes generated from its tokens, so the app needs Tailwind CSS 4. If you do not use Tailwind, Mantine or Chakra UI fit better.
Which React library has bKash, taka and Bangla date inputs?
Wavi includes them for free: a bKash, Nagad and Rocket payment picker, a taka input with lakh and crore grouping, a +880 phone input that names the operator, a division and district picker, number plates, NID and the Bangla calendar.
